CM1100 - slow speeds
Hello All,
I have signed up with Xfinity for GIG speeds. The best speeds I get from my Netgear CM1100 is 500 MBS. I also have an Orbi system connected directly via Cat 6 Ethernet cable. I had Xfinity do some testing yesterday and cannot find anything wrong. Any thoughts?

We need to determine where the slow down is first.
1. What speeds do you get if you directly connect to the modem?
2. Do you have a screen snip of your modem connections page?
3. The speeds you're getting from the orbi, are these hardwired speeds or wireless?
4. What website are you testing the speeds with and what device. Some devices can't max out gigabit.
1. What speeds do you get if you directly connect to the modem? Oddly enough they are slower directly connected to the CM 1100 - I have an ORBI RB50 system. I get 90 mbps per sec from the Orbi on OOKLA and 45 MBS on OOKLA directly connected to the 1100.
2. Do you have a screen snip of your modem connections page? I don't
3. The speeds you're getting from the orbi, are these hardwired speeds or wireless? all these tests are with a new Cat 6 Cable. No wireless.
4. What website are you testing the speeds with and what device. Some devices can't max out gigabit. Using OOKLA and there is a speed test via the Orbi App. In the Orbi App I get from 450 mbs to 510 mbs (down). I am paying for GIG speeds with Xfinity so even if you add in overhead/interference etc.. I should be closer to 800 mbs.
What is the speed rating on your wired PCs network adaptor? 100Mbps or 1000Mpbs?
Check the connection rate of the PCs network adapter.
Try a different wired PC if possible to compare speeds with the CM1100.
What model Orbi do you have connected to the CM1100.
My CM1100 works well with my Orbi AC and Orbi AX at near 900Mpbs/50Mpbs.

My setup is the CM1100 to the RBK50 system. I get 450-500 mbps when I should be getting GIG speeds. Trying to determine if this is a Xfinity issue or the CM1100.

Is this speed directly connected to the modem?
Do you have the screen snip of your modem connections page and logs?
Its hard to determine anything without more details
