CM1200 Modem Powering-Off
Hey! I run my home network on a Netgear CM1200 Cable Modem/1200 Nighthawk set-up, with Comcast Xfinity as my IP Provider. Lately, our connection has started dropping, just occasionally but enough to be annoying, usually in the evening hours when we're all home and online. Last night, the Cable Modem went down, came back up when I rebooted, but then went back down and stayed down all night. It was still off this morning when I got up, and I've only had mixed success in getting it to stay on. When it goes off, all green power, downstream, upstream, and internet lights go off, while the four LAN 1-4 lights stay on (showing amber). It stays this way through several reboots, but then happens again. I've got the network back online this morning but am not sure how much longer it will stay up. I've got a sneaking suspicion that it may have been overheating and finally fried the power circuit, but I have never seen any red lights come on with a warning. Attached are the event logs from last night and this morning. Can anybody decipher? Thanks in advance!

Re: CM1200 Modem Powering-Off
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem?
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.

You have some criticals that the ISP should help you look into.
