CM2000 Slower Than ISP Provided

When I hooked up my new modem (CM2000) my internet speeds plummeted.
I'm not even getting 1Mbps
When I disconnect it and switch back to the ISP-provided one, I get full speed again.

I contacted Spectrum, they had to "add" it to my account.
Makes no sense why I'd have any internet if it needed to be added to my account, but it works now.

Ya that a requirement of the ISP to add any servicing modem to your account and there services.
