CM400 slow speed plan of 500 only getting 200/340
Good evening,
I currently was upgraded to a 500mb plan from a 250 for free. I am aware that the modem is rated for 340? but I still barely get 190-200 directly connected to the modem. When I access the modem dash board a lot of stuff is "locked". I am not sure what things are supposed to look like or what is normal. I get the same speed results with my router connected Linksys EA7300 Max-Stream AC1750 MU MIMO Gigabit Router.
Modem: CM400 DOCSIS 3.0
Firmware Version: V1.01.13

Re: CM400 slow speed plan of 500 only getting 200/340
Who's your isp?
it can get "up to 340mbps" but it depends on your isp and what they certify it for. For example, comcast/xfinity only certifies it for 100mbps service. Your isp might only certify it for 200mbps.
You'd want to check with your isp on what speeds are certified for it and what device's are compatible with the speeds you're paying for (or plan on upgrading to).

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.
