CM500 Slow Download Speeds and Download light blinking green
Firmware Version V1.01.05
For the last few days, download speeds have been painfully slow and only the download light is steadily blinking green. All other lights are solid as they should be.
I have done factory resets and all troubleshooting possible including everything that was recommended by the ISP. I use Comcast Xfinity and pay for 75 mbps.
Current tests show .18Mbps Download and ~7Mbps Upload through hardline connection to Modem. ISP has looked at everything else and can only point to the router. Has anyone else had the

Hello paperboy201
Have you bypassed your router and connected direct to the modem and done a speed test?

Hello Paperboy201
If you had your ISP check everything and you tried to factory reset the modem I would suggest to contact support if you are still under warranty could be a hardware issue.

Re: CM500 Slow Download Speeds and Download light blinking green
Go figure that the light stopped blinking late last night and I was not even afforded the chance to work towards a warranty claim. I'm waiting for the modem to act up again if it should do so. Since I don't know what exactly happened and I'm not convinced that it won't happen again, should I still submit a claim?
I do not know now what the issue was and I may not ever know. If the modem has issues again I will come back to this thread as the solution is still unknown. If anyone else has had similar issues with a similar modem then your insight and experience would be much appreciated.
Thank you for your help Darren.

Re: CM500 Slow Download Speeds and Download light blinking green
MY upstream light is blinking occasionally now. I logged in and I power cycled, and it went away/came back. Now I rebooted after logging in, and so far it seems ok. Log says things like "critical" and "warning".

Re: CM500 Slow Download Speeds and Download light blinking green
My CM500 has recently started the same thing(upstream light blinking). Connectivity/speeds don't SEEM to be affected, and a reboot always temporarily stops it.

Re: CM500 Slow Download Speeds and Download light blinking green
Hello rightintel
I would contact your ISP have them check the levels and connection of the modem also if you have any cable splitters on your cable line try to remove them and connect directly to the wall.

No splitters, connections are tight.
