Can I use CM1150V as just a router?
I want to switch to GoNetSpeed from Xfinity. I have Xfinity's triple play. GoNetSpeed is a fiber based provider and supplies a modem. Can I switch off telephone and modem functions in the CM1150V and use it justas a router? GoNetSpeed speed is 1 Gig.

No. A model CMxxxx is a modem only. If it had any router functions,
then you might have a chance, but it has none.
A model Cxxxx modem+router, for example, includes a router, but even
there, with no Ethernet WAN/Internet port, it's useless as a
general-purpose router. (But a Cxxxx might be usable as a wireless
access point. I doubt that a CMxxxx could do even that.)
