Can't get a Firmware update?

My ISP suggested a firmware update for my C3000-100NAS modem/router, but does not provide this service. I bought mine from a third party vendor, about a year and a half ago, and Suddenlink does not support this hardware. The firmware version it has now is V1.01.11. The NETGEAR genie has a firmware update option, but when I try to use it I get a message that says "Failed to get firmware version information." Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

Hello DavidRobert
All cable modems Firmware are pushed out by the ISP. When Netgear makes a Firmware they send it to the ISP they review the Firmware and make any changes they need and then release it when they want to so no way to manually update the Firmware.
