Computer, tv, phones and tablets all say connected but have no internet access

  • Go to the Downloads section above, put in your C7800 model number and download the manual.

In the manual go to the section labeled Troubleshoot with the LEDs.  It starts on page 105.

    That will get you started.

And if that doesn't work, try asking for help in the section where they talk about cable modem/routers.

      Cable Modems & Routers

If you do go there, you'll have to say a bit more detailed than "it doesn't work".

Do you have a screen snip of the cable connections page and the event logs?

what are the led's on the router doing? (color/blinking/solid/etc)

Do any devices get a connection?

All devices connect to the net but can't get any results from the web. Pinging Google using a code prompt returns a can't find host response while pinging 8.8.8.8 using a command prompt returns several successful hits. Appears that the modem/router is not converting "names" i to "up adresses" the web can find successfully. Is there a "fix" for this?
