ETHERNET issues C6250
When I attach an Ethernet cable to modem/router and to laptop, internet is slow despite Internet speed test of 96mbps when hooked to ethernet. I had a CAT 6, I purchased a CAT 8 cable and still tyhe same. Internet seems better on wifi which is around 30mbps. When I had the modem/router from Xfinity, it worked well on Ethernet. I purchased the Netgear to save money with Comcast. Any suggestions?

Re: ETHERNET issues C6250
What is the connection rate being seen on the laptops ethernet adapter when connected to the modem? 100Mpbs or 1000Mpbs?
Do you have the wifi radio disabled on the laptop while connected via ethernet to the modem?
Be sure the ethernet adapter drivers are up to date on the laptop.
Check the connection status on the modems web page to see what ports are being used and there detected connection rates.
Has a factor reset and setup from scratch been performed?
