Is V2.01.16 still the current firmware for cox because I am currently on V3.01.02 and as of recently I have been having a lot of issues?

Re: Firmware

I am sorry it took so long to reply.  I cleared all my logs because it was a mess and in the past couple of days, I have not had anything in the event log.  Although that maybe, the amount of uncorrectable codewords  keep rolling in.  I usually have none but I will let this speak for it's self.

Re: Firmware

I messaged you all my info and I called cox early this morning to see if they could reset my modem on their end.  The problem still is on going.  I have noticed though sometimes when I log into http://192.168.100.1/, I get the GUI of a cable modem/router combo.  I dont use any other netgear products besides my modem and I have a asus ac3100 as an AP along with my pfsense box.  Just making sure also that I didnt have a lose rg6 cable, I crawled through my attic and doubled checked everything.  I also checked the cable connections coming into my house.  I replaced the cable that connects to the modem over a month ago because COX ran 3 spliters off of one rg6 cable to provide my house with internet and tv.  After fixing their hack job, it is one splitter from the line into the house and directly into my modem and I used rg6 quad shielded cable with a braid of 80/40.  I also replaced the cheap .75 cent splitter off the main line that COX installed and it is the correct mhz.  I did the same with the poe filter.  After I did all of this, I had no issues what so ever till now.  I also make my own patch cables and they are all cat6.  I tested all of them to make sure none of them were bad.  I am sorry for the long reply, I just wanted to provide as much information as possible about my setup. I also can link everything I have and used if it is needed.

Re: Firmware

Please make sure you clear all the cache before accessing the GUI. Otherwise, you might get old cache from previous devices.

do you see issues with your device directly connected to the CM1000?

Re: Firmware

I get the GUI for an ac1750.  I have never owned an ac1750.  I recently built this pc and it has never been connected to any other networking devices.  As for the laptop to the modem I will try it out tonight.  I have been getting less uncorrectables across all channels but I almost got 17000 errors on a single channel.

Re: Firmware

I had my desktop connected to the modem for 24 hours and still was having issues but it is getting better. I have noticed though there where 5 cox vehicle's on my street today. When I called cox and asked if there has been trouble with the line on my street they said no. When I noticed all the cox trucks though I was getting errors like crazy. I havent gotten a screen shot of the gui yet though. It switchs from one to another pretty fast but it is a completely different gui than the one for my modem.

Re: Firmware

It has been awhile and I just wanted to provide an update.  My cable modem has been performing so poorly it is making it almost unbarable to use the internet.  Yet again I will upload a new screen shot of my modem and this is from the last time we were messaging till now.

Re: Firmware

I know this is a dead post by now but i thought i would share what was causing my problems.  For the past month I was getting about 10,000 uncorrectable errors a day.  I was about to give up but i called cox once again because the only issue i could think was the line coming from the tap was damage.  When on i was on the phone with cox they said my modem was showing up as a cm400.  I had posted before that my modem would show different model numbers at times.  After they corrected the firmware issue, all has been well.  That is the first time i can say that since i bought this modem.
