Slow Wifi speeds

I have a link speed of 351 mbps from my IP, but I am only receiving a throughput speed of 2.4 mbps through my wireless router. I have reset the Router, tried the 30-30-30 method, changed channels, and even tried resetting the DNS to a faster one. Nothing has helped. I read the reply from the following topic (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Wireless-N-Routers/Why-do-I-have-slow-internet-speed-with-my-NETGEAR-WNDR4300v2/m-p/1059509#M10401) and I would LOVE to get the speed he is getting. I ordered a 5g wireless adapter for my computer, but I doubt that will get me where I need to be. Anyone care to offer suggestions?

2.4 Mbps is horribly slow, but you don't say what you are using.

The speed you get over a wifi connection depends on the wifi clients.

Can you test what you get with a wired connection to the router? This will also be faster than wifi.

With a wired connection, I receive 351 mbps through my Model: C7000|Nighthawk - AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router. When I try to connect to my desktop wirelessly, I can only get 2.4 mbps. I also have a Roku connected to a bedroom tv, and the picture is terribly pixelated. I assume this is because the router can't stream fast enough.

Have you tried changing the wifi channel? If you are in a noisy wireless environment, you may see interference from neighbours.

A wired connection to the bedroom TV, perhaps with powerline plugs, may be better than wifi.

Is the Roku wired to the router? If not, that too might be better wired.
