Agree with @FURRYe38 . on what device?
If there's any splitters, amplifiers, or attenuators in line, remove them. Also, check the coax cable for corrosion, kinks, loose/cheap ends, and make sure there's no damage to it.

Most likely he is talking about CM500 or other modems.
if there is no US bonding, US LED is AMBER.
If the US is in partial service or MSO does not support bonding, then US LED will be AMBER on CM500.
