Buying a cable modem with voice for Comcast

I am currently using an ARRIS SB6121 Cable Modem with a Netgear R6200 Smart WiFi Router. Comcast shows that my cable modem is not supported so I'm looking for one that is. I recently upgraded my comcast to Triple Play with Voice, so the recommended modem is a Netgear C7100V. When I search to purchase this modem, the recommendations are to purchase Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (24x8) DOCSIS 3.0 WiFi Cable Modem Router Combo. But, since I already have a very decent Netgear Router, why should I purchase the combo? I can't seem to find just the Netgear C7100V

wait for CM500V to be in stock and use that with R6200 router you have.
CM500V is modem-only + Voice device (no Router + WIFI).

Not a model number, is it?

Also not a model number.

Is it that?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your prospective model
number ("C7100V"), and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual.
Read, to learn what you think that you want really is.
On the bright side, you could probably configure your existing "a
very decent Netgear Router" as a wireless access point, and use it to
improve your wireless coverage. (Look for "Wireless Access Point" in
the R6200v2 User Manual, for example.)

Re: Buying a cable modem with voice for Comcast
Yes, this is one that I saw was listed as compatible, but I couldn't find a place to order it. As you indicated, it's "Temporarily out of stock". I placed an order via Amazon.com and I guess I'm on a holding pattern until there is a product available to ship. Thank you very much vkdelta.

Your answer was not useful, however vkdelta (Netgear employee) did provide the answer I needed.
