C6300 connectivity issues

Having major issues with Comcast internet, massive slow downs and random reboots. Only 15 channels downstream are locked, channel 16 won’t when it did before. Only 3 out of 4 upstream and bonded and locked.

  • Glad they figured it out.

If you pull up your connections page and get a screen capture of your that it helps. Plus capturing the logs for us. These can tell us signal strength, signal to noise ratio, problems in the logs, etc.  Please post those here.

I do recommend checking all your connections coming in the house for corrosion, loose connectors, cheap cable/connectors. This can cause issues.

  • This is recent now. Channel 11 dropped snr

Contact your ISP and have them look into this with you. They need to ensure the signal levels up to the modem are good.

Be sure there isn't any coax line splitters between the modem and the ISP service box.

echoing what FURRYe38 said. Check with your isp. it looks like signal issues. I'd remove all splitters/amplifiers and move the modem as close to where your isp's line comes into the house. This reduces the chances one of your devices are causing the error. Some isp's charge for problems within the house and if you can reduce that chance, its cheaper for you.

It was something with my isp. Modem acquired a different starting frequency and I haven’t had low snr or any other issues. They of course kept telling me everything was fine on their end.
