CAX80 and Skybell Video Doorbell
I'm having an issue with a Skybell video door bell going off line. Not receiving much help from Skybell. Any ideas if there is a setting in the CAX80 configuration that could be blocking the the doorbells connection to the internet? Apparently connection to wifi is fine.

Re: CAX80 and Skybell Video Doorbell
No I haven't changed it. I believe it's set to Auto.
Some suggestions offered:
Open the following ports in your router:
5683-5684 UDP
5004-5010 UDP
16384 - 32767 UDP
443 UDP,TCP
123 UDP (NTP)
53 TCP,UDP (DNS)
Many routers offer a setting like: Tx Burst, Frame Burst, or Packet Burst. Turn them off.
SIP ALG stands for Application Layer Gateway. Many routers have SIP ALG turned on by default. Look in the "Advanced" settings/WAN setup of your router configuration and disable this setting.
Disable Flood Protection.
All of the above has me concerned not knowing what they do or if I'm opening the unit to suspicious activity.

No, but I believe it's set to auto. Here is all I can get from Skybell. Open these ports in your router: 5683-5684 UDP 5004-5010 UDP 16384 - 32767 UDP 443 UDP,TCP 123 UDP (NTP) 53 TCP,UDP (DNS) Tx Burst, Frame Burst, or Packet Burst. Turn them off. SIP ALG stands for Application Layer Gateway. Disable this setting. Disable Flood Protection. I'm questioning these suggestions. No idea what they do or if they will open the router to suspicious activity. |

Re: CAX80 and Skybell Video Doorbell
I would start with changing the 2.4ghz value to a set 1/6/11 versus auto.
You can also disable sip alg.
That's where I'd tart.

Re: CAX80 and Skybell Video Doorbell
I found SIP ALG and have it disabled.
I'm lost on your reference to "changing the 2.4ghz value to a set 1/6/11 versus auto". Are you referring to Advanced / Wireless Setup / Channel? It's set to Auto and currently on 8. You'll suggesting to set it to either 1, 6, or 11?

Re: CAX80 and Skybell Video Doorbell
I set the channel to 11 and it worked for about a week. Next morning Skybell was offline again.
Changed the channel to 6 on 15 Jan. Waiting to see if that helped.
