CM1000 internet speed capped at 20Mbps

Modem will not exceed 20 Mbps.  I have power cycled more times than I can count.  Tried multiple computers (desktops and laptops).  All either less or capped at 20 Mbps. I have cleaned the ethernet port, tried multiple ethernet cords of different lengths and categories. Opened a case for hardware, Netgear will not accept my case and receive my defective hardware unless I pay for phone support.  Which makes no sense to me. My hardware warrantee is still active but not useful?. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So you have tested your PCs directly connected to the CM modem with out any external wifi routers connected?

Be sure the network adapter on our PCs are connecting at 1000Mpbs.

Be sure your using good quality LAN cables. CAT6 is recommended.

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.

      1. Tested with direct cat 5+6+7 cables, both old and new.  Known to go over 600mbps on another modem.  I have had my ISP fully troubleshoot testing internet signal from the source, home wires, all the way to the modem and the only fail point was the modem itself not acknowledging the signal.

If a reset doesn't work to help the modem out I would presume the modem is faulty since you tested a different modem on the same line.

which ISP? Have you confirmed the provisioning boot file is OK?

this does not look like an ethernet cable issue
