Can't setup ReadyShare USB storage on C7000v2

  • Model: C7000v2
  • Firmware: V1.03.03
  • USB Drive: WD EasyStore 1TB w/ 2 NTFS partitions: 310GB & 620GB
  • Using Edge / Chrome / Firefox - on Windows 11 (Pop-up blocker OFF)

The router sees the drive and the empty 310GB drive.  This is visible in Advanced Setup > USB Settings on the ADVANCED tab. (Pic 01)

But it doesn't appear in ReadySHARE on the BASIC tab (Pic 02) or in USB Storage > Basic Settings (Pic 03) or in USB Storage > Advanced Settings (Pic 04) on the ADVANCED tab.

I am able to access the one partition in Windows File Explorer at \\readyshare\T_Drive.

I have rebooted the router twice so far.

Thanks for your time and any help you can offer.

    ReadySHARE does not like partitions.

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    Cable Modems & Routers

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

    Any progress on this?
