Error code -50 - Large file transfer

Hey,

I am getting this strange error on the mac.

I am connected to a drive connected via USB to the router.  If I attempt to transfer smaller files, then it works fine. If I attempt to do larger ones, it will transfer the entire file until complete, then give me an error code -50 then delete the file. I was able to get it to succesfully transfer once by restarting my computer, but I have not had any success since then.

Any ideas?

       Mac OS version?

What is your "a drive"? Size? Format/file-system? What happens if
you connect it directly to your (unspecified) Mac?

       That's "the router"?  Firmware version?

"smaller"/"larger" than what?  What kind of "files"?  Space available
    on your "a drive"?

      Hey,

      OS X 10.13.5

8TB , NTFS - If I connect it directly to the mac I can see the files but can't upload due to the NTFS file system. Works fine in Windows.

C7000|Nighthawk - AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router - Latest Firmware ( purchased it about 3 weeks ago)

Files under 1 mb work - Files over 1 GB don't seem to.  6TB free space. Movie files, sound files, etc.

      ...

I was able to get this to work only after restarting the computer and manually connecting to the server again. It is annoying that it seems to happen frequently though and the only solution is to do a full restart.
