Genie App and IP Addresses
When using the Genie app to monitor the devices that are connected to my home network, is there an easy way to determine which devices are associated with each IP address? Only a couple of the 20 or so devices have lables that mean anythnig ie Jack's iPhone. The same applies to hardwired or wireless devices.
Thanks! JH

Re: Genie App and IP Addresses
Hello jonathan
No easy way to do this unless you find out what each device is and then rename them.

Re: Genie App and IP Addresses
Hi Darren,
Thanks for coming back to me and that is indeed the crux of the problem. Is there an easy way to find ut which device correlates to each IP address so that I can re-name them?
Cheers,
JH

Re: Genie App and IP Addresses
2 ways you can find out look at the mac address on the device and match it to the attached devices screen or just disconnect each device and then connect them again and see what new device shows up.

Re: Genie App and IP Addresses
So, I guess the answer is, there's no easy way. It seems like the old version of Genie did a better job of deciphering the names of each device! I'm having a problem with this issue, as well... Nighthawk x4s
