Genie app not connecting to router’s WiFi


My iPhone and other devices are connected to my WiFi network Via my NETGEAR nighthawk C7000 router, but when I open the Genie app it says to connect my mobile device to my NETGEAR’s router WiFi as if it’s not recognizing that my iPhone is already connected. How do I get the genie app on my iPhone to recognize that I’m connected to the WiFi network so I can use the app? Thanks!

      Correct me if I’m wrong but I think I posted it in both the genie app forum and also the modem/ router forum. I originally posted it I think on the genie app forum but then someone messaged me saying I should consider posting it under modem/router forum.

        IF your devices are connecting to the modem fine and also you can access the modems web page using a PC or laptop and web browser fine, then this is a genie app issue.
