Netgear NightHawk C7000 Modem/Router. Unable to login to modem after a few days of use.
Netgear NightHawk C7000 Modem/Router. I'm unable to login to modem after a few days of use.
I've read that you have to reboot/reset to default to be able to back into the router (via ip addres).
OK, I've done that and an able to log back into the router a couple of days. After that I can't login again.
The resolution provided is not a long term solution.
Why can't I log into my C7000 box without having to reset or restore default?
This is unacceptable in my opinion.
Could I just have a defective unit?

Hello Jaylampin
Is the Default gateway address changing after a couple of days? do you try both ways 192.168.0.1 and www.routerlogin.net? When you try to log in are you directly connected via ethernet?

Default gateway is not changing. It's still 192.168.0.1.
When I login, i usually go via 192.168.0.1, but since you asked, I did try the url routerlogin.net and that failed also.
Like I said, it takes a power cycle to log back in. It'll work for a couple/few days, then same issue.
I've even reset it to default hoping that would fix the issue permanently, but it has not.
For the record, i can get to the internet and connect to all my other devices fine, I just can log into the C7000 router/modem.
