7550 repeater

How can I tell if my DSL router can be used as a repeater? I have a Model 7550, DM111PSPv2 and DLink DIR-645. Thanks

Re: 7550 repeater

The 7550 is something Netgear made for ISPs.

No NETGEAR support for the AT&T 7550 DSL Modem Router | Answer | NETGEAR Support

You'll have to ask AT&T.

Or see if you can get clues from other posts about this device:

Find some good documentation for it, and search that?

Search its management web site for an appropriate option?  For a
model like the R7000, which does have a repeater mode, its User Manual
says: ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Router / AP / Bridge Mode.

Many Netgear router models (including my D7000[v1]) don't have such
an option, so I'd be a little amazed if the 7550 did.  It's not a
feature that would be of much interest to an ISP.

Of course, this all depends on what "a repeater" means to you.
Almost any router can be configured as a wireless access point (with a
wired connection to the main-router LAN), but fewer can act as a
repeater (with a wireless connection to the main-router LAN).
