D6200 Lost configuration

So I woke up to find I had lost my internet connection, and was unable to login to the router.

Turns out that after a couple of hours investigating the issue, it had returned to its factory default settings

The route/modem is powered via a UPS and there were no power interuptions recorded that night.

Is it a sign that it may be on the way out. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon.

I would just keep a eye on it see if it happens again you may want to contact support.

I did call tech support yesterday and they told me that this was possible caused by an internet interuption from my ISP, and that this is a designed behaviour as a safeguard to avoided corruption of the device. Really??
