D6300 reconnect to internet.

HI my D6300 firmware version V1.0.0.96_1.1.96 has recently stopped automatically connecting to my isp when I get a drop out or power failure. I have to drill down into Advance, Admin, router status, then into connect.

Is this a new fault that occured in version 96, or is my trusty D6300 fianlly failing. It was bought October 2014. Until now it has been very reliable.

Any feedback would be useful, even from Netgear themselves.....:)

It could be either of those but you can try to roll back a FW version to see if its a issue with the latest FW.

I can confirm this bug too. Came home today to no connection, viewed connection status and it said 'disconnected', hit reconnect and was back up.

Did not *auto* reconnect.

Settings are:

Connection Mode	Always On
Idle Timeout(In Minutes)	0

That does not seem to exist for the D6300.

There are many more here:

Maybe the one you have was so dodgy that Netgear pulled it completely.

My mistake, ive got a D3600 but i see this issue too.

I have rolled back to version 76 and so far it has autoconnected every time we have had a brown out.

I will upgrade to version 88 at the weekend. Bit busy at moment and need the internet to keep up!
