D7000 does not update IP address for dynamic dns

Netgear D7000 (Firmware Version V1.0.0.38_1.0.1)

I am currently experiencing an issue where the router fails to update the IP address for dynamic dns (I use No-IP). When I check the status, it states, “No update action. There is no IP address on the Internet port” which is not true as it is connected to the internet.
