DNS Issue won't find specific IP Address
Hi Guys,
I have an odd problem and wondering if you can help.
A couple of months ago my website www.dnaex.net was moved from IP: 118.193.204.5 to 118.193.204.54
For some odd reason my N600 refuses to look at the new address.
Initially I thought it was either an issue with either my ISP/Host, or ISP/ADSL connection, or with DNS propagation, but all of these potentials have now been ruled out (with the help of high level technicians from all companies involved)
They have all pointed me back to my network/router being the issue.
All of my customers can see the domain (www.dnaex.net) with no issues.
The domain resolves correctly for me if I use a VPN through my N600.
If I connect directly to the N600 and allow it to connect to www.dnaex.net it tries to go to the old (118.193.204.5) IP and can't find the server.
Non of the PC's/Macs on my network can get to the correct IP if they go through the router.
If I use a VPN or other networking device (say tether to mobile) all devices can connect.
I have tried a factory reset which initially did seem to resolve the problem, but it has now reoccured 10 days or so later. Also have cleared all dns caches and browser caches on Mac's/PC's but this hasn't helped.
I have also configured OpenDNS rather than the ISP's DNS server in the router but this hasn't helped either.
Any further thoughts?
Regards,
Scott
