Netgear D7000 ADSL Router, second computer genie says internet connected,, but no browser access
Windows 10
Netgear D7000 ADSL router issue
Local area net, second computer connectivity issue
Primary Desktop has normal internet access using the same and only LAN Router
Second Desktop Netgear Genie shows internet connected for both Wired and Wireless
- But does not connect to the internet using any browser
- Routerlogin.net fails, server IP address could not be found
- Network Connections show Ethernet icon, but No Internet Access
- Troubleshooter reports broadband modem is experiencing connectivity issues
- recommends Network reset, done, still no network access
- Unplugged and restarted still same configuration; Netgear genie shows wired and wireless internet connectivity, but no browser can access the internet
- (Router is working fine on primary desktop wired and wireless)
- Problems found/detected: : connection between access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken
- Routerlogin.net fails
- Entering the router IP address also fails
- Ipconfig /all shows the correct DNS server IP address
- Flushing dns failed to help

These are all classic symptoms of a Windows security issue.
Unfortunately, your detailed account doesn't say what errors you see in a browser or what tells you that there is "No Internet Access". Any messages of any sort anywhere?
Nor is it clear to me which "Troubleshooter" you used.

Windows has a habit of blocking "Public" networks.

I have been told in the past that this is nonsense, but it has worked for me and for others with dead networks. At least there is no harm in trying.

You say "ADSL router". The D7000 is actually a DSL modem/router. I assume that you are using it as such and not in modem/only mode.
