Netgear D7800 don't support IPv6 natif - France - Provider Orange !

Bonjour ,

Excuse me for my bad langage , i'm french

I install last firmware ; 1.0.1.22 and IPv6 is always disable ! And when i active , it's not functional , in "Native" mode . Orange and a another choose "Native" mode first , now !

I hope , nearly , new firmware allow IPv6 in Native mode , functional !

Now , i use in "Tunnel 6to4" and a lot of expert says , it's bad !

When will you repare that ?

I see my french provider , Orange , use IPv6 . When Netgear resolve that ?

Netgear has poor support for different types of IPv6. In the past it has warned that it has no intention of providing firmware to correct this lapse.

That is for BT in the UK, but it probably applies elsewhere.

Hello , 

yes , i read that ! ! ! In France , Orange use IPv6 for fiber , vdsl2 and adsl , now ! ! ! Other provider , SFR ,  Bouygues , Free , same things ! And no modem Netgear allows to use IPv6 native . But Orange , my provider rented this modem , Livebox Play and new , Livebox 4 . This product use IPv6 native ! ! !

In conclusion , now , don't buy Netgear !  They are surpassed technology ! Not ready for the future !

What IPv6 protocol does Orange use?

The problem is that there are different types of IPv6. Netgear supports only some of them. It does not support IPv6-PD, which is the flavour used by BT in the UK.
