Printout Router Settings?

Need help to print my router settings. I did this a whlie back but after firmware update I can't find the print option. Maybe it's just copy and paste to printer? There has been some changes and I want a backup record.

Thanks

Some?  All?  I take notes when I configure my devices.

If you view the settings using a web browser which has a Print option
(in the "File" menu?) (which I'd expect any web browser to have), then
you could use that.

Or you could do that.  But note that there have been cases where
important data are not shown by the management web site, so manual note
taking can be more reliable.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
"Manage the Configuration File of the Modem Router".

On some models, the resulting "configuration file" is plain text; not
especially easy or convenient to read or interpret, but possible.

But note that there have been cases where some data are not included
in the configuration file.  It's a firmware bug, not all such bugs ever
get fixed.

Re: Printout Router Settings?

Copy/paste to a word doc will not work as the page, even on landscape, will not show all the information as the web page is so wide.

As well, using the three dot click to print the url page also suffers from the same problem.

There used to be a "print" function on each page through the program - where did it go?

Is Netgear listening to these discussions? I will not buy another Netgear due to continuing lack of support.

Why drag Microsoft Word into this?  Why not print directly from your
(unspecified) web browser?  Or, why not just save the web page(s) for
later viewing?

What does "the three dot click" mean to you?

"the program"?  The non-psychics in your audience can't see what
you're doing with what.  I can't remember ever seeing a web browser
without a Print option.

Ask Netgear?  This is a user forum, not formal Netgear support.

   Tell someone who cares?

If you want Netgear support: http://support.netgear.com/

If you don't know how to operate your (unspecified) web browser, then
there might be better places to seek help.

Try "Alt + Print Screen" to grab screenshots.

Or "Shift + Winkey +S" for the adventurous.

If you are lucky, and have the right software, you can create and OCR PDF files. But just having the image should work as a reminder.

The program? If you mean something that Netgear used in its graphical user interface, that must have been back in the 20th century. Can't recall seeing that in quite some time.

Re: Printout Router Settings?

The problem is not copying the screen, it's that the information is spread so wide that the print function cannot get it all the information on a portrait or landscape option. There is no "print version" option within the program.

I did this a while back on an older version and printed out the settings, I know because I still have a copy of that printout.

Sounds like something odd with your display settings.

Have you tried Snip and Sketch in Windows?
