QoS rules for specific devices?
I'm running into a catastrophic issue where my Nest camera is going offline frequently, because someone else is hogging all the bandwidth, so my camera's data is getting lost while my roommate is doing whatever.
I need to either make my camera #1 priority, or throttle my roommate's device. Is there any way to do this?
It looks like there's "Dynamic QoS" rules, which... fail to work, because I still have this problem. Where can I actually set rules myself?
Here's what I see when I look at my settings: https://imgur.com/a/WAnwvBm

Re: QoS rules for specific devices?
Actually I may have solved this after contacting support - under "attached devices" you can click on the icon and set priority. I was lost for so long, it's not clear that there are more settings hidden if you click the device. This is a terrible UI and hard to understand because you can't see a full priority list of all devices, you need to refresh the page for each single device one by one...
Hopefully this will solve my issue. It looks like the Nest Camera is considered a "smart home" device which is automatically set to "low" priority. So stupid. Netflix can wait. That was set at highest priority...
Netgear should fix this UI. I'm still trying to find a way to see which device has what bandwidth consumption over the past 24h, i dont see a way to see that
