REPLACING SKYHUB SR101 WITH D6400
I've decided to replace my non-fibre Sky Sr101 router with a D6400. I have obtained my Sky username and password using the online generator available @ https://www.cm9.net/skypass/generate.cgi as I was unable to to this using the Wireshark method.
I upgraded my firmware to the latest version and follwed the setup steps as advised:
For Sky Fibre broadband the following settings apply
Country = UK
ISP = Sky
Transfer Mode = PTM
DSL Mode = VDSL2
Internet = Enable this Interface
Use VLANID = Ticked select 101
Priority = 0
Does your Internet connection require a login? = No
Account Name (If Required) = D6400 (autofilled)
Domain Name (If Required) = BLANK (Do not put anything just leave blank)
Internet IP Address = Select Get Dynamically from ISP
Domain Name Server (DNS) Address = Select Get Dynamically from ISP
NAT (Network Address Translation) = Enable
Router MAC Address = MAC address of the Broadband port (WAN) in the form of C0:3E:0F:xx:xx:xx
DHCP Options = Client Identifier String (option 61) ussername and password taken from the Wireshark capture (c03e0fxxxxxx@skydsl|12345678) make sure the | 'pipe' is in between the username and password.
I'm still unable to connect. Any advice/guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Did you check the various messages around here on the same topic?
One thing that puzzles me is that you say you have extracted your Sky username and password but you then show:

Where are you feeding the thing with the Sky username and password?
I should add that I speak here from deep ignorance. I am on BT and go nowhere near anything with a connection to the Murdoch empire.

The online generator doesn't work for SR101 or SR102 Sky modems. You will need to persevere and work out how to do it with Wireshark to obtain your username and password.
Youtube has a good few videos on the subject
All other settings are correct.
Hope this helps

michaelkenward: The Sky username and password are passed though the DHCP options (Option 61 to be specific).
nathancurran: The attached Youtube link should help extracting info from your sky hub.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vvmn3xI77Os
The video is a bit old, and Wireshark has changed slightly.
Once Wireshark is open, double click the ethernet connection that connects to the sky hub. You'll then see all the traffic. From then on, you should be able to follow the video.

Yeah for some reason it was not working. I managed to extract the username and password etc but still wasn't connecting. I managed to sort it in the end thank god.
