USB external drive connected to D7800 shows only small R and T drives

Hi,
I have a Nighthawk X4S D7800 connected to a Seagate Expansion 4 TB USB 3.0. external hard drive. The Nighthawk firmware is up to date.
The external hard drive is formatted into two 2 TB partitions, both of which are formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled, Encrypted).
I can see the D7800 in Finder on my Mac, and it has two folders, R_Drive and T_Drive, which both have no files in (even though the partitions do have files in) and appear in the ReadyShare Genie with Volume Name Boot OS X with only 128 MB of total space each, rather than 2 TB.
Any ideas on why I cannot see the partitions with their actual names, and see the files inside them?
Is it because I have encrypted them? I need to encrypt the partitions to meet a security standard.
Thanks.

Please note, some USB drives require software to be installed into
the PC or are password protected or are encrypted. Such USB
devices will NOT work with the Router/Extender.

Thanks, that is a shame but it sounds like that is the answer!
