how to connect R6300-connected printer from outside the router at home
Hi
AT&T installed a gateway to provide internet service to my home computers.
One of the port from the AT&T gateway is connected to R6300 router.
All other computers are connected to the gateway directly.
From R6300, I connected a computer and a printer.
I can access the printer from the computer connected to R6300.
However, I cannot see the printer from computers connected to the gateway.
It seems I have to disable the firewall in R6300 since gateway is already setting firewall from outside the home.
I don't see any appropriate explanation how to disable the firewall entirely in R6300 in the user manuall.
What is the right approach to make the R6300-attaced printer visible from outside the router?
It is not an option for me to connect the printer directly to the gateway. I have to connect the printer to the router.
Thanks.

Not a very detailed description of anything. Does this "the AT&T
gateway" have a model number?

Why? If the idea was to extend your wireless-network coverage, then
you may want to configure the R6300[vX] as a wireless access point,
which would put your (unspecified) "a printer" on the same subnet as
everything else on your LAN.
If you have an R6300v2, then visit http://netgear.com/support , put
in your (actual) model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User
Manual. Look for "Wireless Access Point (AP)". If you have a
plain/[v1] R6300, then, according to its User Manual, it lacks the same
kind of one-step option for configuration as a WAP, but there's a less
convenient scheme which can be used to configure almost any wireless
router as a WAP:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1463500
That's written for a Netgear C6300, but the steps are about the same for
any other router (any make/model) which lacks a one-step WAP option.

I see it in the R6300v2 User Manual, but not in the plain/[v1] R6300
User Manual.

What are the IP addresses of all these devices? (See the
difference?) Generally, cascading multiple routers can cause multiple
problems; configuring one router and one (or more) wireless access
point(s) avoids those problems.

Why? How is the R6300 connected to your "the AT&T gateway"? How is
your (unspecified) "a printer" connected to the R6300?
