how to scan if a certain port is open or not?

i have bought the netgear dgn2200v4 a week ago working good,but i am unable to connect to join any warthuder game sesion and i need a way to check if the tcp/udp ports the game uses are open or not . please help!

You can use the Shields Up website to test for open ports and it tests for response to ping (ICMP).
