Is the D7000 compatible with Centurylink DSL
I just decided to get rid of cable and start streaming. I have CenturyLink DSL and was using the CL provided modem router. So far the results are a bit sketchy. I decided to replace the CL router with something a bit more robust. Is the D7000 compatible with CenturyLink DSL? None of the Netgear modem/routers are listed on the CL website. If it is compatible is there an issues to be aware of with regard to installation?

Re: Is the D7000 compatible with Centurylink DSL
Yes
After you sign up be sure to call centurylink and get your username and password. They force you to call in.
When you are on the phone ask for the settings... PPOE, VPI, VCI

Re: Is the D7000 compatible with Centurylink DSL
Another issue to be aware of with Centurylink is if you read the fine print there's a limit of 250GB download per month for connections over 1.5Mb and a 150GB limit for 1.5Mb or less. There was just a story on the news here in SLC about Centurylink cancelling service for users that exceed the download limit. If you want unlimited download you must buy a business account. It doesn't take a whole lot of streaming Netflix movies at 1080 to exceed the limits.
