Netgear D6200 Options
I am moving my ISP to BT Infinity and as part of the package they provide a new router which I intend to use. Is it possible to use my Netgear D6200 as a repeater to pick up the WiFi signal emitted from the BT Router and then send it via a hard wired Cat5 cable to the back of my Smart TV?

Re: Netgear D6200 Options
Check page 107 of the manual:
D6200 | Product | Support | NETGEAR
I'm not sure if the D6200 will act as a LAN client for the TV. If it doesn't then I use a pair of Powerline plugs for that. I find that the LAN over mains approach is more reliable than wifi.
You could even put the D6200 at the far end of the LAN link, connect the plug to that and see if you can feed the TV that way. If it works, this would have the advantage of giving you remote wifi repeater.
You will have to check the settings on the BT modem to see what you need to tweak for whatever scenario you adopt. My experience with the Homehubs is that they offer less control over your life than proper modems. I use a D6400 on Infinity.
