Nighthawk D7000v2 crashing since V1.0.0.47_1.0.1 update

Hi there,

Have had this router about 4 months. Has run very well but upon clicking the update to go to the V1.0.0.47_1.0.1 firmware it has started crashing. About 3 times in the last 24 hours.

What should I do?

Did you reset the router to factory settings after the firmware flash?

New firmware sometimes introduces changes that are not compatible with the old configuration.

So while it isn't guaranteed to fix problems a factory reset is the first thing to try if you have issues with new firmware.

- Called Netgear support

- Re-installed firmware, still same issue

- Took back to Harvey Norman, they gave me a replacement

- Tried replacement, same issue, even via ethernet

- Took modem back again and had to exchange for a different brand

It's a shame as I know it's a fantastic modem/router but I need to move forward.
