[N900 / WNDR4500] - Can't get to dashboard, solutions not working

My router got a blinking green power light after a power disruption. I managed to reflash with the most updated firmware, and now all the lights show normal. Steady green power, and I can successfully ping the unit. However, I can't get to it via 192.168.1.1. I've rebooted and reset the unit according to instructions. I've tried to access via ethernet and on both wireless bands from two different computers. No go.

I see lots of somewhat conflicting solutions to this issue, and nothing has so far worked. Posting here may be the last resort.

That's "ping 192.168.1.1"?  From what?  Connected how?

"get to it" how, exactly?  Web browser?  URL?

"can't" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.

The world is filled with "instructions".  Which of these are you
following?

With my weak psychic powers, I can't see what you read, or what you
tried. or what happened when you tried whatever it was.

Is that the "v1" variant of the WNDR4500?

Have you restarted the whole network?

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

  • Turn off and unplug the modem.
  • Turn off the modem router and computers.
  • Plug in the modem and turn it on. Wait 2 minutes.
  • Turn on the modem router and wait 2 minutes.
  • Turn on the computers.

I ask because routers to get confused about local addresses if this isn't done right.

Then there is this:

If you cannot login to your router | Answer | NETGEAR Support

Just another user.

My network DM200 -> R7800 -> GS316 -> PL1000 -> Orbi RBR40 -> Orbi RBS50Y -> RBS40V
