New R6400v2 not recognizing ethernet cable; no internet connection

I just bought a new R6400v2 AC1750 Smart Wifi Router, and it worked fine the first day I set it up. However the second day it suddenly stopped working. I logged into the router's IP address and it said "No Ethernet Cable Is Plugged into the Router Internet Port" and said there is no internet connection. The Wifi LED on the router is on and my ethernet cable is plugged in, but the internet LED is off. A regular ethernet connection works in my apartment so I don't believe it's a problem with my ISP, nor a problem with the ethernet cable. I've gone through several steps to try and fix the problem to no avail:
- Factory Reset
- Updated firmware
- Ensured the "enable wireless radio" boxes were checked
- Tried different ethernet cables
- 30-30-30 reset
This is a brand new router (hence still under warranty), and it randomly stopped working despite no changes on my end. Any suggestions?

Hi @rinn,
Please try doing a loop back test to check if the WAN port of the router is still working. Check the link below for the steps.

Hi @Johnsamuel,
1. Did you do the loopback test?
2. Have you tried resetting the router?
3. Have you tried changing the Ethernet cables?

Re: New R6400v2 not recognizing ethernet cable; no internet connection
I too had the same problem. I hooked up the router to my modem, Comcast issued, and it worked great. I then changed modems, Surf Board SB6190, and the router quit. I checked the modem by connecting directly to my computer and it workes great. The modem does not pick and chose to not work with other routers. The router is seen by my computer when hooked directly to it and so is wifi seen by my other wireless units but I get no IP address now. I did the loop test and it looks as if it failed. I did the factory reset and tried rebooting the system several times. Is this a bad unit now and is this a product that will have problems after it is replaced? When it worked, it had great range and was, as I had plan, to be a much better unit than the Comcast supplied modem/router. Send it back for replacement?
