netgear wndr3700v3 questions

is there anyway to select which pc can access which folder on a usb hard drive like each pc has only the access to the folder I wish to select because I can only find allow all access read/write or admin only read/write .

To the best of my knowledge the WNDR3700 only allows for one username/password.

I would suggest that a dedicated NAS drive would be a better choice in this instance.

With the Netgear ReadyShare NAS drives you can configure specific folders to be available to difference groups or individuals. As each person would have to use the log in ID & password, the NAS knows who is accessing the folders.

Since you can have multiple groups associated with each folder or perhaps multiple individuals, there is far better scope for doing what I suspect you are asking.

You can also specify, for example, that every can 'read' say the media folder, but only specified people have read/write access, thus protecting your movie & music collection.

Specifically what do you mean? AP tends to mean 'Access Point' and relates to a WiFi Access Point specifically.

If the WiFi is enabled then you should be able to use it.
