Netgear Genie App log in help
I updated my firmware on my router to the latest version.
Now I have a error message when i try to log into the Genie app. "NETGEAR router is not found or is not supported. also make sure the device is not connected to the guest network or the router, and no IPv6 is enabled."
I can login to the router using safari on my iphone but not he app...
Mhy is the app not working? is this a known issue? how can i fix it?
Steps I've tried: deleted the app and redownloaded, changed passwords, made sure IPv6 was disabled, restore router and reset whole network.
Thanks for the help!

Do the steps that you have taken include a factory reset of the router? (It isn't clear what you mean by "restore router".) Remember, doing that will change your password back to the default setting.
Also what Genie are you referring to? Is this the web interface for the device? Or the desktop client? (Netgear likes to label anything that moves a "Genie".)
It may also help people to help you if you told them what device you are talking about.
- timebandit12345AspirantI did the factory restore on my router. I am referring to the genie app for iOS on my iPhone!

You could check this forum for messages about the router's firmware. There have been recent reports here of firmware breaking things.
The way to recover is to download and apply an older version and to see if that works better.
Unless there is something that the firmware fixes, or adds something useful to the features available on your hardware, it isn't always essential to upgrade firmware.

If it is the iThing app that is bust, you may have to wait for a fix. Or stick with the desktop app.
