BR500 PoE ?
I was wondering if the BR500 router had the PoE (Power over Ethernet) protocol on all its Rj45 ports?
Just because I would like to add a WAX610 without an external power supply…
Thanks

I was looking through its datasheet and manual and didn't see that it has POE capabilities. Did you find something that suggested otherwise?

Impossible. One WAX610 does need 802.1at (PoE+), from the specs supplying one with power would require more tag 30W just to provide the standard specific 30 W at the PD (powered device), so we can't even think about up to four PoE+ ports. The BR500 (also rethink the price!) is powered by a 12V/1.5A power supply only.

In short, no the BR500 does not have PoE network ports.
If you were only wanting a minimum number of PoE access points, like the WAX610, then you should be able to use a Gigabit PoE+ injector. However, if you want multiple, you will probably be better of with a PoE switch (I got the MS510TXPP for similar setup and it works a treat).
