ProSafe VPN Firewall FVS338 - How to configure web access via WAN port?

Hello

I have a router connected to the LAN. From the DHCP server, the WAN port gets a local address (192.168.5.11). By connecting to it via any LAN port, I can enter the IP address (192.168.1.1) in the browser to get to the back office and log in as admin.
How to configure access so that I can log in from the network on the WAN port side, for example from the address 192.168.5.100?
I will be grateful for advice

Regards
Mar

  • Which router model?

Remote management has been removed from many models due to security concerns.

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Hardware VPN Firewalls and Business Routers - NETGEAR Communities

You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

        Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

        Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

I have this option set as in the attached picture but I still can't connect. The computer from which I am connecting has the address 192.168.4.11 and the router 192.168.4.24.
Does WAN access require other options to configure?

Server 192.168.4.24 is using an unsupported protocol.
        ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

It seems to me that the problem is with the compatibility of SSL protocols. I turned on legacy support in my browser but that didn't help.
