Creating a stack with 2x GSM7228PS and 1x XS708T

Hello,

We plan to deploy 2 x GSM7228PS, plus 1x XS708T, stacked trough SPF+ connectors. We need 4x 10Gbase-T ports for connecting to our storage server, and the XS708T would be a good (and cheap) option. Would that work?

Many thanks!

  • XS708T is not "stackable". You could make a stack with the two GSM7228PS and a trunk to the XS708T. Good practice would be a two cables LACP LAG, with each cable going to each stack unit.
For the short connections, you can use copper DACs, they're quite cheaper than actial fiber + modules.
