Layer 3 switch

I am configuring a small office and the person I'm helping only wants to use Netgear switchs. Im looking for a switch to combine basic router needs and switch capabilities, layer 3 switch. Looking over at Netgear I dont know if the L2+ is what im looking for, my friend doesnt want to have a seperate router and switch. I was looking at the GS728TP and was wondering if this will do what is needed?

    Hello simonbr,

    Welcome to the community!

If your friend is planning to use it on the internet you'll be needing a router for NAT. Layer 3 switches can have their own DHCP and routing so you'll have to look at the fully managed series switches. But still, you will need the router for NAT.

    Thanks,
