M4100 Mgmt vlan config

There must be a top-secret sequence of events for this, because I just can't make it work.

I need to create a management IP address for this switch and put it on vlan 900. I need to be able to access this address locally from port 11, and also via the trunk on port 12 for remote management.

I can create the vlans I need, apply them to ports, create the trunk, create the mgmt address, but can't get the mgmt address on vlan 900 and still have access to the switch. Does somebody have a sequence of steps that will work? Or some steps in the CLI?

I'm getting tired of resetting this switch....

  • Maybe this helps...I'm connected to the switch via 10.0.90.41, but the config shows 0.0.0.0 and I can't change it. What's going on here??
