M4300 dropping packets to management interface

M4300 stack.  1x XSM4324s, 2x gsm4352pb, 2x gsm4328pa

Firmware 12.0.11.13

pinging the mananagment interface (from the same vlan) drops about 50% of the packets.

trying to us we web GUI, doesnt work well, seems to be dropping packets

trying SSH, same thing

using the OOB interface, works well, doesnt drop anything.

CPU of stack master around 35-45%

packet drops did nto seem to happen with fimware 12.0.11.11 (the previous firmware before updateing a day ago)

Another problem, not sure if related, but thought i should metion it:  switches are in a TV truck that gets turn off and on about once a day.  After initial power up stack needs to be rebooted for all Dante devices to be seen (mDNS).  IGMP snooping is turned on and the stack is acting as the querier for other netgear smat switches(and multicast traffice is being pruned.)  Truning IGMP off does not help seeing Dante devices without a reboot.

  • I think i might have figgured it out, poking around i disabled QOS and then re-enabled it.  seems to have fixed the ping issue.  ill test more tomarrow and mark as solved or whatever.  I use QOS for dante devices to give higher priority to the real time audio packets.  it uses IP DSCP to Queue Mapping.

every now and then i get a dropped packet, but i think thats normal

CPU is not 80-90% and that sounds odd.

ill also test to see if my other issue was solved by the QOS toggle
