Connect to another network via Netgear GS716T switch using telnet

My PC is connected to Netgear GS716T switch. There is a LAN cable connection my PC and GS716T port 2. I can ping the GS716T from the PC. The GS716T is connected to another network Switch2 port 6. I want to check the ethernet connection link between PC and the Switch2 port 6 via GS716T. How can I do it using telnet from PC? isthere a telnet command? should i do any config changes?. Switch 2 and Netgear GS716T are linked via ethernet. GS716T is on PC network, Switch2 is on another network I can successfully start telnet session from PC to GS716T switch, but I want to kbow how to connect second network via Switch2.
