Advice about replacing Duo v1 drive
I have a Duo v1 on 4.1.13 firmware, with a RAID 1 volume that has been functioning on one disk for some time (it does have USB backup). I'd like to get around to finally replacing the second disk in the array.
Originally, I had two 1.5 Western Digital drives, model WD15EVDS (I'm down to one now). They're difficult to find these days, and I question whether I should try hard to buy these old drives here in 2014.
A look at the HCL indicates that now there's only a single 1.5 TB disk recommended for me now: the Seagate Barracuda ST31500341AS. It doesn't seem to be available anymore.
Can anybody recommend a currently available drive to use in the Duo v1, since the HCL is clearly not being updated for my legacy model?
And, I have another question. This device is from 2009. At what point would I be insane to not replace it? It appears to be functioning quite well, but appearances can probably be deceiving with elderly NAS devices :)

- You don't have to use the same make, model or size disk to replace the 1.5 tb.
I'd look at the seagate NAS drives or wd red drives ( although you may need to make an adjustment to the idle timer on the wd) . 2 tb as the duo v1 will not take drives bigger than 2 tb. - Thanks. So, this Seagate NAS drive?

Can I simply hot swap in the new 2 TB drive next to my current 1.5 TB drive, and be left with a partition that's the same size as before? - ST2000VN000 is the NAS drive.
If you hot-swap the ST2000VN000, you should keep the same volume size. To increase it, you'd then need to hot-swap the second drive.
