I just wanted to comment on my experience this past weekend with Netgear support. I have to admit, that is the best technical support I have received from any company, ever. The associate who I dealt with was very patient, and knowledgeable. I was really frustrated with what was happening with my device, to the point where I almost said "The hell with it" to Netgear, but he managed to calm me down and assure me that everything would be OK. Turns out my issue was a rare one...so rare that I was transferred to the second level engineers and instructed to put the ReadyNAS in Tech Support mode.

Throughout this process Rex, the person I was speaking with from the beginning, kept contact with me via e-mail and continued to update me about the status of my machine while collecting information from me to speed up the process for the engineers this past Monday. (They don't work on weekends, apparently) He even gave me a follow-up call to see if everything was working properly after the engineers did their part.

This type of customer service is rare and, honestly, unexpected. I'm very happy I decided to stay with Netgear.
